Motor Vehicle Accident Lawyer: The Best Thing They Can Do For You

Your motor vehicle accident lawyer has a job to do. At the outset, that job seems pretty straight forward. Their job is to do the usual stuff, like making sure they get you the most amount of money they can for your claim, represent you well to the insurers, and run a great trial, if necessary.

But aren't there a lot of competent lawyers out there who can do that for you? There are.  We say that your motor vehicle accident lawyer's job goes much deeper than the usual stuff.

They also have to make sure that you are assured. You need to be able to relax and know that someone is looking after your legal claim and is doing a good job of doing so.

If you know you are in good legal hands, you can focus on getting better.  Your job is to focus on healing. Your lawyer's job is to take care of all the legal mumbo jumbo. Knowing you are in good hands is a part of that process. Dare we say it? You gotta trust your lawyer. And you have to find a lawyer you trust. When interviewing your potential personal injury lawyer, go with your gut. You not only want someone who can get you the best settlement, you want someone who will understand what you are going through. You want to be able to connect with your lawyer. You want to be able to ensure that you are relaxed and comfortable with them so you can communicate with them what you need.

Make sure you feel comfortable with your motor vehicle accident lawyer

Meet Anna. Anna and her boyfriend, Jacob were driving up the island for a much-needed vacation. Anna had been working her butt off launching a new business. Anna has a dream of helping other people reaching their physical and emotional potential in life. She believes that a full body yoga practice can help people get there. For the past two years, Anna has been developing an online program to assist others in reaching their potential. Anna has earned no actual income in the past two years. She had been living off of her savings while she was launching her new business. Her new business was set to launch the following Monday, and Anna knew that to make it all work, she was going to have to put in tremendous hours at the beginning of the business launch. Unfortunately for Anna, it was when her and Jacob were on their weekend away that a distracted driver collided with their vehicle. Anna is grateful that she is alive because her car was written off. She is grateful that her boyfriend is okay too.

Anna has suffered significant injuries and now does not have previously recently earned income to ensure that the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia will cover her past wages. Anna has already spent her savings, and her rent is due in 14 days. She was beside herself with worry about what to do next.

Also, Anna had no spare cash to help her get physiotherapy. She cannot even afford the minimal user fees. She found herself in a bind.

When Anna approached Hemminger Law Group Westshore, we were able to help. Anna knew that because of the significance of her injuries, she was looking for way more than the run-of-the-mill motor vehicle accident lawyer. We set her up with some transitionary funds. We also directed her to the therapy she needs and helped with the cost.

What Anna realized when choosing a lawyer was that she not only had to choose someone to care for her legal case, but for her and her future well-being. This included not only helping her get better with her injuries, but a law firm that has the care to deliver more to her, as our client.

Because Anna chose a lawyer that she trusts, she can now focus on getting better.
